Coast House interiors

The Coast House is on New Zealand's South Coast, accessing The Catlins and Fiordland National Park. The design is for a holiday home retreat, a Hideaway Home.

The interiors were designed to give a luxury lodge like feel. Wall and ceiling finish colours and textures were carefully selected to give a richness and warmth to the house.

The luxury feel was kept playful with a table tennis table instead of a kitchen island, doubling as a dining table.

In a hark back to the New Zealand childhood in the classic kiwi 'bach' bedside lights are operated with a pull cord.

Stacey really enjoyed this opportunity to design the whole house down to every last detail of the fit out.

The Coast House was awarded Home Magazine's 2021 Highly Commended Green Home of the Year.
